Rooms
-
Rooms are taught on the subject of your area of expertise. The possibilities are endless, from film and Creative Arts to Business and Life skills, we welcome unique information packaged in fresh and creative ways.
-
Rooms are hosted in a collective group. This includes a number of students coming together under your leadership/guidance centered on a particular area of focus. For example, a mastermind group, an idea lab, a mentorship group for aspiring cinematographers, etc. From film and Creative Arts to Business and Life skills, the possibilities are endless.
Rooms are structured in a community format. Rooms can include features such as:
Activity feed for posting and sharing wins and accomplishments,
Syllabus for teaching moments and storing important information,
Event calendar for creating in-person or online events
Chatbox for group discussions and important updates
Member directory to see all members at a glance,
Discovery tab for featuring and highlighting important info
Live stream for teaching lessons in real-time and increasing student engagement.
Direct messaging for one-on-one communication with your students
Engagements polls for collecting data and feedback
-
Rooms follow a weekly schedule from Mon - Fri and only require engagement at least 3 times a week.
Here’s an example:
Monday - New lesson posted or live streamed (requires 1 hour of your time)
Tuesday - Assignment Workday
Wednesday - Engagement poll ( ask a question about Monday's lesson,)
Thursday - Assignment Workday
Friday - Weekly wrap-up (End of the week review post or group discussion, etc)
*All posts, events, polls, articles, etc can be scheduled ahead of time for busy instructors.

When you agree to host a room with us, you'll have a 14-day window to complete your room plan. (Room Name, Topic, Room Description, Roadmap, Weekly Schedule and any teaching materials).
Once you submit your plan, we will review it and request edits if necessary. Once your room plan is approved, we will create marketing materials for your room. We will then enter a two-week promotion period before launching your room.
After your two-week promo period, Catlett Academy will not be responsible for promoting your room. You will be responsible for enrolling your own students.
-
Rooms should be priced according to your experience level and years worked in your field. We suggest pricing your membership at a competitive rate of other groups in your industry, keeping in mind the skill level of your prospective students (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced). Students can pay to be a part of your room either monthly or annually.
-
Room instructors are paid 40% of the total sales of their room membership. Payments are made monthly on a recurring basis for the life of their room. Instructors are paid by direct deposit.
