Courses
-
Courses are taught on the subject of your area of expertise. The possibilities are endless, from film and Creative Arts to Business and Life skills, we welcome unique information packaged in fresh and creative ways.
-
Courses can be laid out by Sections, Modules, and lessons when necessary. Courses can be created in text-only format, video-only format or a combination of both. Video courses can be done live (in real-time), or pre-recorded.
We suggest live videos be a maximum of 1 hour per lesson, 1 lesson per week. Pre-recorded videos can be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes or 60 minutes per lesson, depending on the subject matter.
Text portions of your course can be as much as necessary to deliver that lesson’s information in completion. Each module of your courses is required to have assignments, action items or challenges at the end of each lesson so that your students can implement the knowledge and execute the skills they’re learning from your material.
-
You can choose to create a 4-week or 6-week course. You can decide whether you want the lessons available all at once or dripped over a period of time.
-
When you agree to create a course with us, you'll have a 45-day window to complete all coursework (text, video, and assignments/action items). Once you submit your material, we will review it and request edits if necessary. Once all coursework is approved, we will create marketing materials for your course. We will then enter a two-week promotion period before launching your course. After your two-week promo period, Catlett Academy will not be responsible for promoting your course. You will be responsible for enrolling your own students.
-
Courses should be priced according to your experience level and years worked in your field. We suggest pricing your course at a competitive rate of other courses in your industry, keeping in mind the skill level of your prospective students (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced).
-
Course instructors are paid 40% of the total sales of their course. Payments are made monthly on a recurring basis for the life of their course. Instructors are paid by direct deposit. More details on payment can be found on your teaching agreement.
